Every tradition

From the nikah to the walima

A Muslim wedding is built around the nikah, the marriage contract, and we photograph it with all the dignity it deserves. We are familiar with the signing of the nikah-nama, the giving of the mahr and the ijab-e-qubool, the words of acceptance.

Around it sit the mangni, the mehndi with its henna and music, and the warmth of the walima hosted by the groom's family. We know when to step in close and when to stand quietly back, in Liverpool and wherever you marry.

The whole celebration

Every event, across every day

A Muslim wedding often unfolds across several events, and we are there for all of it. It frequently begins with the mangni and a mehndi night, the henna, the music and the laughter around the bride.

Then comes the nikah, with the signing of the contract and the emotion of the rukhsati, followed by the walima reception hosted by the groom's family. We can cover a single event or the whole celebration, with a second photographer for the largest days in Liverpool.

Yes, where the mosque permits photography. We are always respectful of the setting and discreet during the nikah itself.

You will receive a small preview soon after the wedding, with your full edited gallery and album to follow. A Muslim wedding produces thousands of frames, so careful editing takes a little time and is well worth the wait.

It depends on the size of your celebration. Many weddings are covered beautifully by one photographer, but for large multi-event days in Liverpool we bring a second so two places at once are always covered.
