Every Celebration
From the roka and kurmai to the maiyan, the chunni and the lively sangeet, every event understood.
Documentary-style Sikh wedding photography in Reading, covering the milni, the kirtan, the four laavan and the lively reception with elegance and care.
Serving Reading
Reading is a large town with a diverse community and riverside venues. We photograph Sikh weddings throughout Woodley, Tilehurst and Wokingham, telling the full story from the maiyan and chunni to the laavan, the doli and the reception.
Whether it is an intimate gurdwara ceremony or a celebration of several hundred guests, we cover every event with sensitivity and an instinct for the moments that matter. We are London-based and travel across Berkshire and the wider region for Sikh weddings. The Anand Karaj and its celebrations are a speciality and distance is never a problem.

What we offer
From the roka and kurmai to the maiyan, the chunni and the lively sangeet, every event understood.
From the morning kirtan to the doli and the reception, told as one flowing story.
Beautifully bound albums and fine prints designed around your favourite images.
Every tradition
No two Sikh families keep their customs in quite the same way, and we photograph yours as you keep them. From the roka and kurmai to the chunni, the maiyan and the vatna, we follow each event closely and respectfully.
We are used to the emotion of the doli as the bride leaves, the joy of the langar and the music of the sangeet, and we cover them all without ever getting in the way. It is something we have done for couples across Berkshire for many years.

The whole celebration
Your celebration unfolds over several days, and we are there for all of it. It might open with an intimate maiyan and a joyful jaggo, before the wedding morning brings the milni and the calm of the darbar.
From the four laavan to the doli and the reception, we follow the day at its own pace. Tell us which events matter most and we will build the coverage around them, in Reading and across Berkshire.
Why choose us
Having photographed over a thousand weddings across twenty-five years, we know the flow of a Sikh celebration in Reading, from the morning kirtan to the doli, and we are ready for all of it.
We are London-based and travel across Berkshire and the wider region for Sikh weddings. The Anand Karaj and its celebrations are a speciality and distance is never a problem.

Where we travel
For couples in Reading, working with a photographer who travels widely is an advantage, not a complication. We know Berkshire well, including Woodley, Tilehurst and Wokingham, and we are glad to discuss your gurdwaras, banqueting suites and marquees and the route between them in advance so the day runs smoothly.

Good to know
Yes. We have photographed Anand Karaj ceremonies across Berkshire and the wider region for many years, at gurdwaras, banqueting venues and marquees alike.
Always. We know the order of the Anand Karaj, the kirtan, the four laavan and the ardas, and we anticipate each so nothing is rushed or missed.
Of course. We regularly photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings in Reading, blending the traditions of both families with care.
It depends on the size of your celebration. Many weddings are covered beautifully by one photographer, but for large multi-event days in Reading we bring a second so two places at once are always covered.
You will receive a small preview soon after the wedding, with your full edited gallery and album to follow. A Sikh wedding produces thousands of frames, so careful editing takes a little time and is well worth the wait.
