Looking for a Tamil wedding photographer in Exeter? We photograph Iyer, Iyengar and South Indian Tamil weddings, the oonjal, the kanyadaanam and the saptapadi, with hand-finished albums.
Serving Exeter
As a Tamil wedding photographer working in Exeter, Exeter is a Devon cathedral city with country venues, and we travel throughout Topsham, Exmouth and Crediton for South Indian celebrations, photographing the nadaswaram, the rituals and the quiet family moments alike.
Whether it is an intimate ceremony or a grand celebration of several hundred guests, we cover every ritual with sensitivity and an instinct for the moments that matter. We are London-based and travel across Devon and the wider region for Tamil weddings. South Indian celebrations are a speciality and distance is never a problem.

What we offer
Calm, unobtrusive photography that captures the real devotion and emotion of the day.
Extra shooters for large celebrations so no ritual or family moment is missed.
Hand-finished albums, wall art and prints, crafted to last for generations.
Every tradition
A Tamil wedding is rich with precise, meaningful ritual, and we have learned the order and the timing of each. The day often opens with the kashi yatra, the playful moment the groom pretends to renounce married life, before the maalai maatral, the exchange of garlands high above the guests.
Then comes the oonjal, the gentle swing ceremony, the kanyadaanam, and the heart of the wedding, the maangalya dharanam, when the thali is tied to the sound of the nadaswaram. We know exactly when each happens in Exeter, so nothing is missed.

The whole celebration
We plan our coverage around the shape of your wedding. Many Tamil celebrations begin with the nichayathartham and mehndi, move into the early-morning muhurtham, and build through the mandapam rituals to the reception.
Whatever your schedule, we arrive early for the auspicious hour, stay late and keep pace with the day so every ritual, large or small, is photographed properly. For multi-venue days in Exeter a second photographer covers two places at once.

Of course. We regularly photograph fusion and mixed-faith weddings in Exeter, blending South Indian traditions with another family's customs with care.
You will receive a small preview soon after the wedding, with your full edited gallery and album to follow. A Tamil wedding produces thousands of frames, so careful editing takes a little time and is well worth the wait.
It depends on the size of your celebration. Many weddings are covered beautifully by one photographer, but for large multi-event days in Exeter we bring a second so two places at once are always covered.
