Faith and Tradition
Familiar with Iyer, Iyengar and South Indian customs, we keep to the timings and respect the sacred moments.
Looking for a Tamil wedding photographer in Manchester? We photograph Iyer, Iyengar and South Indian Tamil weddings, the oonjal, the kanyadaanam and the saptapadi, with hand-finished albums.
Serving Manchester
As a Tamil wedding photographer working in Manchester, Manchester is a great northern city with one of the UK's largest South Asian communities and the famous Curry Mile, and we travel throughout Rusholme, Cheetham Hill and Longsight for South Indian celebrations, photographing the nadaswaram, the rituals and the quiet family moments alike.
From the nichayathartham and the mehndi to the muhurtham and the reception, we document the whole celebration with a calm, unobtrusive eye. We are London-based and travel across Greater Manchester and the wider region for Tamil weddings. South Indian celebrations are a speciality and distance is never a problem.

What we offer
Familiar with Iyer, Iyengar and South Indian customs, we keep to the timings and respect the sacred moments.
From the morning muhurtham to the reception, told as one flowing story.
Beautifully bound albums and fine prints designed around your favourite images.
Every tradition
A Tamil wedding is rich with precise, meaningful ritual, and we have learned the order and the timing of each. The day often opens with the kashi yatra, the playful moment the groom pretends to renounce married life, before the maalai maatral, the exchange of garlands high above the guests.
Then comes the oonjal, the gentle swing ceremony, the kanyadaanam, and the heart of the wedding, the maangalya dharanam, when the thali is tied to the sound of the nadaswaram. We know exactly when each happens in Manchester, so nothing is missed.

The whole celebration
We plan our coverage around the shape of your wedding. Many Tamil celebrations begin with the nichayathartham and mehndi, move into the early-morning muhurtham, and build through the mandapam rituals to the reception.
Whatever your schedule, we arrive early for the auspicious hour, stay late and keep pace with the day so every ritual, large or small, is photographed properly. For multi-venue days in Manchester a second photographer covers two places at once.
Why choose us
With twenty-five years and over a thousand weddings behind us, we understand the rhythm of a Tamil ceremony in Manchester, the auspicious muhurtham timing, the early starts and the precise order of rituals, and we never miss the moments that matter.

Good to know
Auspicious Tamil dates in Manchester book up well ahead, so we recommend enquiring as early as you can. Tell us your muhurtham date and we will confirm availability straight away.
Yes. For larger Tamil weddings we bring a second photographer so the mandapam rituals and the guests are both fully covered.
Yes. We are comfortable photographing respectfully inside temples and kalyana mandapams, working quietly around the priests and the sacred fire.
You will receive a small preview soon after the wedding, with your full edited gallery and album to follow. A Tamil wedding produces thousands of frames, so careful editing takes a little time and is well worth the wait.
It depends on the size of your celebration. Many weddings are covered beautifully by one photographer, but for large multi-event days in Manchester we bring a second so two places at once are always covered.
